Coach Profile

Pat Lamb has been coaching girl's basketball since 1992. As a coach for the Bay State Magic Elite, Pat has won more than 15 State championships and taken these teams to the Nationals throughout the United States. At the Nationals his Magic teams have fared well, with the best finish being 13th out of 108 teams just 4 years ago.

As a high school girl's varsity basketball coach at Cardinal Spellman, Pat has also been fortunate to find success. Over the 10 years as the varsity Coach Pat has compiled a record of 164 - 72. Winning 4 Catholic Central League Championships, 4 South Sectional finalists and 2006 State Champion runner ups.

At Cardinal Spellman, Pat has received Massachusetts State Coaches Association coach of the year in 2002 and 2006. He has also received Brockton Enterprise coach of the year and 2006 Boston Globe coach of the year.

Jim Bancroft. Jim has been coaching girl's basketball for the past 20 years. Currently the head girl's basketball coach at Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA, he has brought respect back to the AWHS girl's basketball program winning back to back state championships in 2007 and 2008. He has coached for BSME for 10 years leading teams to AAU National tournaments, Jr Nationals, Blue Chip Tournaments and many showcase tournaments along the way. Many of his former players are currently playing college basketball throughout New England and New York. He is a former president of Braintree Youth Basketball and runs clinics and provides individual basketball skill instruction when not coaching.

Matt Mahoney. is currently the coach of the Bay State Magic Elite 16U Regional Team. He has been coaching in the AAU program for 6 years. He is now in his 4th season as the JV girls basketball coach at Archbishop Williams High School. He is also the former president of Holbrook Youth basketball. He has been coaching both boys and girls basketball for the past 12 years.

Dean Beresford. Dean has been coaching basketball for more than 20 years. As a captain for the 1986-7 UMass/Boston team, Dean became an Assistant coach for the Mens team from 1987 - 1995. He has more recently been involved with Marshfield travel team for the past 5 years as well as the head coach with the Bay State Magic Elite U15 team.

Steve Windwer. Steve has been coaching girl's basketball for the past 10 years. Steve is the head coach of the Bay State Magic Elite U14 3 time state championship team and has been coaching AAU for the past 5 years. He has been involved in Milton youth basketball and is currently serving on the board for Milton Travel basketball. He is currently the head coach for the 6th grade boys traveling team and assistant coach of the 8th grade girls in Milton. Steve has recently been appointed assistant girls basketball coach at Thayer Academy and spent the past 2 years as the assistant coach for the back to back state champions at Archbishop Williams High School.

Doug Otto. Doug Otto coached the 13(U) Regional Team for 2008. Doug has been active in Scituate youth basketball for the past 10 years, coaching travel basketball and participating in other youth basketball initiatives. As a travel coach in the large town division of the South Shore League, his teams finished in first place winning 3 division titles in 4 years plus an overall league championship. He accumulated a combined regular season record of 53-11 over these 4 seasons. In 2008, his 8th grade team was selected to play in the elite Massachusetts Grade 8 State Championship where his team reached the final 4 before losing to the eventual State champion. In 2008, Doug's 13(U) Bay State team finished 23-7, sweeping several tournaments and winning the Mass Premier Jamboree as well as the Mass Premier Mayhem Championship. Doug's team finished 6-1 against older 14(U) teams. His 2008 squad was made up of 11 talented, hard-working girls from 7 southeast and south shore communities.

Lauren Fuller. Lauren played her high school ball in Duxbury. In her senior season she was the leading scorer in the entire league (over 1000 point career) and led her team to the state championship. She was chosen as All Scholastic player by the Patriot Ledger, Boston Globe & Boston Herald in 1997 & 1998. Lauren played her college ball at Bentley College. She is the only player at Bentley college to reach 1000 point mark by her sophmore season. She was selected as an All American in 1999 & 2000. After graduating Lauren had offers to play professionally overseas. She has been coaching in camps for the past 11 years and most recently has been doing small group instruction in Duxbury and with some elite AAU players. She enjoys working with both post players and perimeter players.

Tom Bickford. Tom is the Coach of the Bay State Magic Elite 11U Regional Team Tom has coached at the AAU level for 5 years and at the intramural level and travel level for 10 years. Tom is a Past Board member of the Hingham Girls Basketball League.
